Horn of Africa
It is generally accepted that there is a correlation between the high prevalence of HIV in the Horn of Africa and the level of HIV infection among Ethiopian, Eritrean and Somali communities in the UK. However these high levels of HIV infection have not yet led to an increased level of awareness among these communities.
To increase awareness on HIV/AIDS and sexual health among Horn of African communities in London, we organise health events in partnership with other community based organisations. We provide information on World AIDS Day, International Women's Day and cultural and community events.
