Introduction

Naz Project London (NPL) will be piloting the above training course for AIDS & Mobility Europe at its offices in Hammersmith, London in 2010. The course will cover topics including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, sexual and reproductive health, harm reduction and how to design, implement and evaluate community based information events and how to network with local advice centers and health services.

AIDS & Mobility Europe aims to reduce the HIV vulnerability of migrant and mobile populations in Europe.

This training course has the following two parts:

Part1: Theory

Part 2: Practical

Target groups

1. Africans
2. Portuguese speakers
3. Spanish Speakers
4. South Asians

Personal specification

1. Able to speak and write two languages- English and their local community language
2. Men or women
3. Work experience or training in social or health area
4. Commitment to attend training regularly and to complete the course
5. Migrant (not born in the UK )
6. Highly motivated to help their communities to better access health services
7. From African, Portuguese speaking, Spanish speaking and south Asian migrant communities
