HIV Testing

  • From March 2016 to March 2018, 1,276 BAME people who had not previously accessed UK HIV-screening services, accessed NAZ testing services. This is more than double NAZ's initial planned outcome.
  • All clients with HIV-reactive results were immediately linked into hospital care and have subsequently received vital emotional and medical support and access to NAZ services.

  • 829 counselling sessions took place from 2016-17.
  • NAZ’s counselling and mentoring achieved results higher than the Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) national average.
