The difference we make HIV Testing From March 2016 to March 2018, 1,276 BAME people who had not previously accessed UK HIV-screening services, accessed NAZ testing services. This is more than double NAZ's initial planned outcome. All clients with HIV-reactive results were immediately linked into hospital care and have subsequently received vital emotional and medical support and access to NAZ services. Counselling 829 counselling sessions took place from 2016-17. NAZ’s counselling and mentoring achieved results higher than the Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) national average. Support Groups 370 clients were supported by peer support group sessions between 2016 and 2017. Our Joyful Noise Choir, comprised of people living with HIV, sang for HRH Prince Harry in 2016. The Joyful Noise Choir recorded the single “Champion” feat. Vula Malinga, which was released on World AIDS day. Research and Advocacy Our annual fundraising event, nOSCARS, was supported by HS Prince Leo von Breithen-Thurn, Diguena Iromou of the Guinean Embassy, Jorge Moreno Fierro of the Ecuadorian Embassy, MP Andy Slaughter (Hammersmith and Fulham), Lady Phyll (executive director and co-founder of UK Black Pride) and Miss Tessy Antony (UNAIDS global advocate). Six clients were featured in the NAZ-produced film “Faces”.
