About this service

​

Set up by NAZ in 2013, Joyful Noise Choir (JNC) is the award-winning community choir for all people living with HIV held every Wednesday (starting 31 May 2023) at: 


NAZ

Hammersmith, W6 9DT 
6.30pm – 8.30pm

If you like to sing in the shower, karaoke- style or are a budding professional singer, NAZ is the place to be!

​

Each week, choir members explore different aspects of musicality including voice control, vocal blending and rhythmic singing (connecting to the emotion of the song using personal experiences). Led by Choir Director Colin Vassell and Vocal Coach Stella Betton who are guaranteed to bring out your best voice.

Who can use this service?

​

The choir membership consists of people of multi-ethnic, faith, gender and sexual orientation – a truly inclusive and inspirational collective. JNC is open to all people living with HIV to reduce isolation, encourage social participation, and create a sense of community and, as such, has developed into one of the most vibrant services for positive people in London.

​

Why do people use this service?

 

JNC is a music therapy peer support group that challenges HIV stigma and prejudice, transforms lives and  creates a life changing space.
